Mandatory equipment varies by distance, including warm clothes and GPS device.

We have not set any specific requirements for the rating of wind and waterproofing for jackets/pants. The most important thing is to have good products that provide good protection in the high mountains for changing weather and conditions, as well as wind and water. The longer the distance, the more important it is to have a high degree of wind and waterproofing on jackets/pants. As a participant, you are responsible for making sensible choices here.

All participants can have friends pick up their bib number and any ordered GTR gear on Friday. If this is not possible, the bib number can be picket up Saturday morning from 07:30 at Vestlia Resort.

  For those who are unable to check in and pick up their bib number on Friday, we have an arrangement for this at Vestlia Resort on Saturday morning starting at 07:30.

• The 16k and 30k distances will be marked with orange event flags or signs.

• The 55k will not be fully marked, so you are required to use a gps device with the latest GPX file downloaded.

• Regardless of your distance, we recommend that all participants import the official GPX file to their watch. This is especially important for the 30k runners, as flags can be moved, or visibility can become poor.

Yes, there will be food and drink stations:

• For 55K: Food and drink station after ca. 18 km and 39 km.

• For 30K: Food and drink station after ca. 15km and 27 km.

• For 16K: Food and drink station after ca. 12 km.

• For all distances: Simple refreshments at the finish line at Vestlia Resort.

A ticket to GTR 2026 includes, among other things, free access to the gathering and entertainment on Friday evening, all race activities on Saturday, and the GTR after-run celebration at Vestlia Resort on Saturday evening.

• To all participants: If you have to withdraw from the race, it is essential that you register a DNF (Did Not Finish) via the registration link you received from RaceTracker by email.

  If you are unable to do this yourself, you must immediately notify the nearest official or crew member so they can register the DNF for you. This is crucial for your safety and the safety of other participants, as it ensures we maintain full control over who is out on the course at all times.

• To 55K runners: If you don’t reach the checkpoint (CP) at Hakkesetstølen by 16:00 (8 hours), you must drop out of the race and register as DNF. This is important to ensure that safety can be maintained for all other participants. From Hakkesetstølen, it is only about 3 km along a trail directly down to Vestlia Resort (start/finish). You can also be picked up by car at this location. All participants who do not meet the time limit at Hakkesetstølen are personally responsible for their own transportation back to the start/finish at Vestlia or to their home.

• Prize draws during info & entertainment on Friday, 14. August.

• All finishers receive a GTR-finisher medal.

• Prizes for the top five men and women in each distance. The prize ceremony will take place in the finishing area at Vestlia Resort.

• Prizes for the fastest male and female on the three different segments. Prize ceremony will take place at the GTR After-run.

GTR-Items ordered during registration will be distributed at check-in and bib number pickup in Vestliahallen on Friday. Alternatively, you can pick them up on Saturday morning if you are unable to do so on Friday.

NB. You are responsible for picking up the products you ordered. Products that are not picked up will not be shipped after the event.

Only for the 55K runners:

To ensure safety for all participants, a cut-off time limit applies at Hakkesetstølen. You must reach the aid station by 16:00 (8 hours) to continue. If you do not make this cut-off time, you must withdraw from the race and be registered as a DNF.

All runner who do not reach the aid station before the cut-off time, can get down to Vestlia by them self, get picked up by a friend or request a transport from the crew after 16:00.

• If there are any extra GTR 2026 products left, we will sell them after the 16K has started.

• Please collect your pre-ordered GTR 2026 gear by 12:00 PM on Saturday at the latest. Any items unclaimed by this time will be released for sale after the start of the 16K.
